Muy Sres. míos:El 18 octubre 2023 adquirí unos billetes a Lufthansa para dos personas para volar a Newark (New Jersey) el 18 abril 2024 y regresar desde Washington Dulles el 28 abril. Estos vuelos estaban operados por United Airlines. Según consta en el email de confirmación que adjunto, la tarifa que adquirí fue la ECONOMY CLASS (K) con la cual, tal como aparece en el mismo email, la 1ª pieza de equipaje facturada volaba SIN RECARGO.La víspera de mi vuelo, cuando estaba sacando la tarjeta de embarque en la página web de United Airlines, vi que si quería facturar las maletas debía pagar un precio aparte. Pasé la mañana entera hablando tanto con Lufthansa como con United, tan solo para averiguar que - según constaba en sus archivos - mi tarifa era una ECONOMY LIGHT, por lo que debía pagar un importe de 69USD x2 maletas tanto a la ida como al regreso.En vista de que volaba al día siguiente, me vi en la necesidad de pagar para facturar nuestro equipaje tanto a la ida como al regreso, lo cual nos supuso un gasto añadido, al cambio en Euros, de 269,64€.

The transportation of bags is included in the ticket price, if a fare including baggages has been selected during the purchase. The baggage allowance on the ticket can be checked in the Baggage field or at lufthansa.com under the header Info Service. If the passengers select a LIGHT fare, they may also check bags against a fee. The transportation of bags is considered as an additional service. That is why the United Airlines staff charged a fee. While we understand your request to receive a refund for the baggage fee, we nonetheless aim to treat all our passengers in a fair and equal manner.
