I have rented a car with Wiber the 05/07/2019 in the Malaga office at the airport. Booking number: 730843114.I have done the reservation with rentalcars and added the full insurance.When we arrived at the pick-up location the person at the reception told us that we were not covered if any small damage was occurring to the vehicle, for example a small stone scratching the car. He told us that we would have needed a document proving that the damage was caused by another car or another person. This was really weird and we spent almost 1 hour trying to explain we already paid for a full insurance with rentalcars and this was the first time this happened to us. He answered that anyway we had to pay a further 99euro for a full coverage.When I returned home I have contacted Rentalcars and they agreed with me that Wiber lied and intentionally pushed me to purchase an additional not needed insurance. They refunded me all the money I spent for the Rentalcars insurance (only teh rentalcars insurance, £37.56) and told me that they were going to contact Wiber and ask for clarification.I contacted Wiber in order to ask for the difference between what i payed to rentalcars (£37.56) and what i paid to Wiber (£89.27 or 99.42 euro). They didn't reply at all.This is a matter of principle mainly, and I have been clearly frauded by these people whoa re doing it everyday with everybody. Hope you can help me on this.ThanksPaolo

Hi,As already explained in my previous e-mail to you, the Rentalcars insurance was absolutely fine to me, I didn't want any personal insurance and I could leave a deposit. That was not the problem. The problem is that your employee told me and my girlfriend that in order to be covered by the Rentalcars insurance we would have needed a document proving that the damage was caused by another car or another person. This is totally false, and this person lied to us for almost an hour.This is not the first time I rent a car and I live and work in UK, so there was no chance i could have misunderstood what this person told us. In the past I have always used the normal Rentalcars insurance and that was always enough, never asked for an additional insurance. I am absolutely sure that this happened other times and it is done on purpose, also having a look at the reviews on google.RegardsPaolo

Hi,When you say freely, you mean based on lies from your employee, as explained already. If that was a legit choice then why Rentalcars refunded me?I understand that you don't want to refund me, but this doesn't change the fact that your employee lied in order to get me pay additional insurance cost.Anyway, I think it is useless to speak further, I'll contact a lawyer through OCU.Paolo
