On 17 July 2026, I used PDFAid to obtain a PDF document and made a €1 payment. I intended this to be a one-time payment for the document I needed at that specific time.
I did not knowingly authorize or agree to a recurring €49 subscription.
After the €1 payment, several €49 charges appeared on my bank account:
• 17/07/2026: −€1 (the payment I authorized).
• 24/07/2026: −€49.
• 30/07/2026: +€49 (refund).
• 01/08/2026: −€49.
• 21/08/2026: −€49.
• 27/08/2026: +€49 (refund).
• 31/08/2026: −€26.14, identified by my bank as “PDFAid.com -P”.
I contacted PDFAid to request a refund and cancel the subscription. They confirmed in writing that my membership had been cancelled and that I would no longer be billed. However, they refused my refund request, stating that their subscription terms make the charges non-refundable.
I also sent them a screenshot of the €26.14 transaction. PDFAid replied that they could not find this transaction in their records and stated that it had not been processed by PDFAid.
I only intended to make a one-time €1 payment for a specific PDF document. I did not knowingly authorize the recurring subscription or the subsequent charges.
I am requesting assistance in recovering the amounts that have not been refunded and would also like this case to be recorded as a warning for other consumers.
