I am writing to formally request a refund of the €49.99 charge applied to my account.
I initially made a payment of €1 for what I understood to be a one-time service (PDF conversion). At no point was it clearly communicated to me that this would result in the activation of a recurring subscription with a charge of €49.99.
This charge was unexpected and, in my view, misleading. I did not knowingly or explicitly authorize any recurring subscription or future billing beyond the initial €1 payment.
As soon as I became aware of this situation, I proceeded to cancel the subscription immediately. Therefore, I consider this charge to be unjustified and request a full refund of €49.99.
If this matter is not resolved, I will proceed with a formal dispute through my bank, as well as file a complaint with the relevant consumer protection authorities.
