Formal complaint regarding misleading advertising and unsatisfactory product served.
Dear Burger King Spain Customer Service,
This message is a formal complaint regarding a recent experience at one of your restaurants in Spain.
Burger King has usually been considered a reliable choice when travelling, which made this experience particularly disappointing. During a recent visit to one of your branches in Spain, an advertisement displayed at the entrance promoted the Double Pulled Pork meal. Based on that advertisement, the meal was purchased in good faith.
However, the product that was actually served was significantly different from what was advertised. The portion of pulled pork provided was clearly disproportionate to the promotional image, to the point that the meal felt misleading and unacceptable. Photographs of both the advertisement and the meal served are available as supporting evidence.
The issue was raised immediately with the cashier at the restaurant, who was asked to confirm whether the order had been prepared correctly. The response given was that the order was correct and that the portion served reflected the standard size provided by Burger King. It was also explained at the time that the product received was clearly inconsistent with the advertising and did not meet reasonable expectations. Despite this, no solution was offered at the restaurant.
As there was a need to catch a travel bus, it was not possible to remain in the restaurant to continue the discussion, request cancellation, or seek an immediate refund. The meal was therefore consumed under protest, and this complaint is being submitted afterward as the only practical way to address the matter.
This situation is especially disappointing because Burger King has long been viewed as a trusted brand. Receiving a product that appeared so different from the advertisement gave the impression of misleading commercial practice and poor customer care.
A written response within a reasonable period would be appreciated. If the matter is not resolved satisfactorily, the complaint may be escalated through the appropriate consumer protection channels in Spain, including the OMIC or the competent regional consumer authority. I already raised a ticket in your communication channel, caso 01307555.
