I am writing in relation to the delayed delivery of my checked baggage following flight
LH1806 from Munich to Madrid on 01 February 2026.
Although the flight arrived in Madrid as scheduled, my baggage did not arrive and was
not delivered to me. A baggage irregularity report was completed online, as the baggage
could not be located upon arrival. I was required to remain at the airport until 01:52
while managing the incident.
I reside in Barcelona; however, I was travelling from Munich, where I had been working,
to Madrid in order to continue working during the following days. I was staying in Madrid
for the week and had professional meetings scheduled starting from the morning of 2
February (from 11:00 onwards).
As my baggage was not available and I only had comfortable travel clothing with me, I
was left without appropriate attire or footwear to attend work and client meetings. Due
to this situation, and given the urgency, I had no alternative but to purchase essential
items of first necessity in order to be able to attend my professional commitments.
On the morning of 2 February, prior to my first meetings, I urgently purchased basic
business-appropriate clothing. As my baggage was still not delivered by the afternoon,
and I had further formal meetings with clients, I was additionally required to purchase
appropriate footwear and an additional professional garment, as attending these
meetings wearing running shoes used for travel was not suitable.
My baggage was ultimately delivered on the evening of 2 February, meaning it was
unavailable throughout the entire working day.
All purchases were made locally, close to my workplace, on the same day and under
time pressure. The expenses were strictly limited to reasonable and necessary items
only. Wherever possible, discounted items were selected in order to keep costs
moderate.
The expenses incurred were as follows:

Total amount: EUR 462.02
These expenses were incurred solely as a direct consequence of the delayed delivery of
my baggage. All receipts and proof of baggage delivery are attached for your review.
I kindly request reimbursement of these reasonable and necessary expenses in
accordance with the Montreal Convention.
