Policy No. 48220112, 3436NHB On 10th February this year, my car was rear-ended by another car, shunting me into the car ahead. My car suffered substantial damage but Linea Directa decided that an economical repair could be carried out. That was 5 months ago and I am still waiting to get my car back. Linea Directa maintain that it is not their fault, the problem being that the repair garage cannot get the the parts required for repair from Citroen ES. Nevertheless, they have a responsibility as the insurer of my vehicle to ensure that my vehicle is repaired in a timely manner, 5 months and still waiting is not in a timely manner. Therefore, I maintain that by not ensuring that it is repaired in a timely manner, they are in breach of contract. They should either supply me with a courtesy car until my car is eventually repaired, if ever, or write-off my car and supply me with a new car. My car was only 3 ½ months old at the time of the accident. I have already had to pay out nearly 1600 euros in expenses and car hire fees.
