Dear Air China customer service team,
We booked a flight to go back to Spain from Hefei, in which we had a connection flight Hefei-Beijing-Barcelona on the 5th of July 2024. The flight from Hefei Airport to Beijing was planned at 16:15h on the 5th July 2024, so the normal arriving time to Beijing would had been around 17:45h (boarding pass of Pedro Vallejo and Ana Sanchis attached in my first email). This flight was delayed more than 8 hours, so we also missed our connection flight from Beijing to Barcelona, which was planned to take off around 2:30 am (CA845). Due to this delay, we finally had to take an extra connection flight: CA957 Beijing-Frankfurt planned at 10:30 the 6th of July and the flight LH1136 Frankfurt-Barcelona planned at 17:20h, which was also delayed.
We arrived to Barcelona almost one day after our initial schechedule and had to take 3 flights instead of 2 flights to arrive to our destination.
For these reasons, I REQUEST the financial compensation that is due under European legislation, plus the expenses incurred due to the delay.
