Upon arriving at this hostel, I was left standing outside for 10 minutes because no one was at the front desk. Once I got inside, I had to wait another 15 minutes to get my room key while the receptionist prioritized a phone call over assisting me. Checking out was even worse—we were left outside waiting, and when the receptionist finally showed up, she casually tied her hair back, slowly walked to the desk, and didn't greet us or say anything. I was also charged two euros for bag storage, only to be told it was cash-only without any prior notice, despite calling the night before.
When I left an honest review, the response was unprofessional and defensive, attacking my character instead of addressing my valid concerns. To make matters worse, their timestamps in their response to my original review were incorrect, further showing they were just trying to save face. I have reason to believe the person who replied was the same one handling service during my stay, and if not, they were still trying to save face. Out of the reviews I've written, only three are negative, including this one. Reviews are meant to share honest feedback, and their inability to handle criticism and attempt to discredit me says a lot about how they operate.
