My name is Carlos Guillén Whelan. I hired a car, VW Polo with plate number LJ 66-DHE, from July 6th to 9th.
I am writing to formally express my disagreement with the amount requested to cover the damage caused to the car.
According to the official Volkswagen website, the replacement part does not cost €120 including taxes. Furthermore, I find it unreasonable that I am being charged €70 in administrative fees—could you please explain how this amount is justified?
I have reported the matter to the Spanish Consumer and User Organization (OCU) so that they can take appropriate action. Additionally, I intend to inform Booking.com about this issue, as although they are not directly responsible, your company is advertised through their platform.
I request a detailed explanation of the charges and a reconsideration of the amount claimed. I remain open to resolving this matter amicably.
