General Law for the Protection of Consumers

During the parliamentary proceedings of the proposed reform of the General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users (LGDCU) OCU addressed the different parliamentary groups to request that a number of improvements be applied in the draft of the law, to increase protection for consumers. OCU asked the groups to introduce changes in the pre-contractual information, the telephone sales and contracts agreed “off-premises”, printed paper bills or the legal standing of consumer associations, modifications that were finally accepted and helped improve the protection of consumers in internet
