OCU asks Ana Mato to take measures against medical wastefulness
08 abr. 2014The Avastin / Lucentis case brings to the table the issue of wastefulness in HEALTH CARE. This example shows that it is possible to reduce spending without this being paid for by patients. These two drugs are used for the same purpose and have very different prices. Lucentis costs 100 times more than Avastin. As part of the OCU campaign "Don’t let them medicalise your life" (#Just enough pills) Que no medicalicen tu vida (#PastillasLasJustas) we asked the Minister of Health for an end to the wastefulness in the health service and that the Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality respond with transparency in the question of the need for rational use of public health resources.
