As part of the consultation on this proposal from the European Commission, OCU wrote to the Spanish MEPs who are members of the justice commission to ask that BEUC, as the legitimate representative of European consumers, be taken into account throughout the legislative process, so avoiding situations such as not being invited to the hearing organised by the European Parliament on this matter on 1 March.
