Clinical trials’ transparency partially boosted in EU

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) adopted a landmark policy on the disclosure of clinical trials. As of January 1, 2015, EMA will publish all reports, which will help avoid duplications of trials and encourage the development of new medicines. Unfortunately, pharma companies will still be allowed to have some info removed on the grounds of commercial confidentiality. BEUC will closely follow how the policy is rolled out.
