Photovoltaic kits allow energy self-sufficiency

OCU says that the consumption begins to be profitable

Madrid, 17 February 2016. A study on photovoltaic kits OCU shows that consumption starts to be profitable even though the costs of legalization and the various administrative obstacles that exist today. The study shows that the technology is mature, in the case of highly reliable systems, which are well suited to the climatic conditions of our country. The results are published in the February issue of the magazine OCU Master Shop.

This battery kits study complements a similar study published in October in this case conducted on photovoltaic kits without battery. The findings for the two systems are the same, the consumption begins to be profitable.

And this is due among other factors to the constant rise in the price of electricity. OCU says that the electricity bill has gone up by 56% on average in the last eight years, it is also a situation that is unlikely to change about. In this scenario, with a price of electricity so high, there is nonetheless good news for consumers who are able and willing to opt for self-consumption solutions: photovoltaic kits are now more profitable than ever. These kits saving generating its own energy or even the accumulation--Batteries necessary equipment can be disconnected from the mains.

This is viable energy alternative especially for independent houses, townhouses or any other type of housing that have the space required to install these kits. OCU estimated to cover the annual consumption of an average Spanish family (3.500kWh) would take eight photovoltaic panels have a total size of 13m2 and the facility would have a total cost of about € 7,000, including installation and legalization 800 € .

The payback period of this kit would be of little more than 10 years, if the costs of legalization are lower eliminase or be even more interesting. The impact on the amortization of the costs of legalization has particular impact on smaller kits that cover only part of the daily energy requirement, and where the term for repayment can be raised from 13 to even 30 years, since the installation cost is usually higher than the cost of the equipment itself, which does not seem to make much sense.

OCU recommends that if you will choose to be unplugged from the network to have a support system as a diesel generator or a small windmill to those days with less sun or when increased energy demands and winter.

In these circumstances I OCU has launched its collective purchase of photovoltaic kits , under the CLEAR program in order to facilitate and encourage access to more efficient technologies lowering its cost to the participants. All interested may register at www.renovamos.org
