First sentence against forcing Volkswagen to return the full amount of the vehicle

23 may. 2016

A Munich court ruled last a dealer to accept the return of a Seat Ibiza, equipped with illegal software to "camouflage" emission levels, and to repay the full amount of the purchase to the owners week. The main reason for this first ruling in favor of those affected is considered that, since leaving the light emission scandal in September last year, the group has had enough to remedy and correct illegal software time. SEAT, part of the Volkswagen group announced that it will appeal that judgment.

This is the first time that the courts recognize the right of European consumers to a resolution of the contract by the fraud committed by the German firm.

This judgment confirms the criticism that OCU has been doing for months to the inactivity of VW. For OCU is outrageous that have been almost 8 months and the vast majority of those affected are still waiting for news and solutions have their cars repaired.

For OCU it is unacceptable that VW intends to spend chapter to one of the biggest scandals in the automotive sector in Europe affected denying any financial compensation. So OCU is finalizing the procedure in order to bring the German company to court to answer not only repairing cars, but compensating those affected by the damage caused.
