OCU denounces Uber's abusive terms of use for its users

The Uber transportation platform imposes in its legal terms, in particular in what it applies to the content provided by the user, conditions that could be considered abusive that in the opinion of OCU since they violate the fundamental rights of the consumers to create an imabalance between both parts and limit the rights of the user.

According to the text available thourgh Uber´s website by providing user content to Uber, you grant a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, royalty-free license entitled to sublicense, use, copy, modify, create works distribute, publicly display or otherwisw exploit such user content in all formats and distribution channels, now known or devised in the future, by providing the content the user assigns on a permanent basis and without any possibility of cancellation said data to the company.

In addition OCU understands that according to the text Uber acquires the right to use that data practically for the purposes that it considers necessary without having to request previous approval by the consumer, even to exploit them or publish them.

OCU requires the company to eliminate this clause and the corresponding correction for all those users who have been able to accept said clauses since its modification
